About this treatment

Stopping problems before they start.

Preventive dentistry focuses on keeping teeth and gums healthy through regular check-ups, professional cleaning and simple protective treatments. Small problems such as early cavities, enamel weakness or gum inflammation are much easier to manage when they are found early.

For children, early visits also make the dental clinic a familiar, friendly place. We monitor how teeth and jaws are developing, guide parents on brushing, diet and habits, and keep every visit calm and positive.

When should my child first see a dentist?

Ideally by their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing. The first visit is short, gentle and focused on getting comfortable.

Most people benefit from a check-up and cleaning every six months. We may suggest a different interval based on your oral health.

Cleaning is usually comfortable and quick. If you have sensitive teeth, let us know and we will adjust our technique to keep you comfortable.

We take things slowly, explain each step in simple words and never rush. Let us know if your child is nervous — we’ll plan short, positive visits to help them feel at ease.
